Question submitted through contact form (this one had no reference email, so I'll answer it here):
“I have been reviewing the information on the names and their influences. When it comes to numerology I have heard those say that only the name as it appears on the birth certificate and then again on official use ie driver's license, marriage certificate etc would be influence others debate that additional names have meanings, such as confirmation names, which for a catholic is a big deal, and often is a name that a person chooses for themselves though still there is influence of parental wishes, so in your opinion does a confirmation name matter does it add energy to the name to a lesser degree, and if so what kind of influence would this bring? Also the idea of nicknames, how strong of an influence would this be, for some a nickname may be one of little use but for another it could be something that most people would know the person by. Example, person's birth certificate has their name on it, but most through out her life didn't know of her birth name, only knew her by the nick name, so would this make the influence of the name Dewy stronger than Dorothy or for another woman who never used her first name or middle name, so instead there are those who do not know her as Anita Virginia but instead as Pete, would that mean that the Anita Virgina may have some energy influence but that the Pete was stronger, she used this so much that even her social security and taxes were to Pete not to Anita Virgina.
What are you views on this type of voluntary unofficial name change, and on additions to names such as Confirmation names for catholics, or hyphened names for those who still use their maiden and married names?”
Heather's answer:
Confirmation names: These would fall under 'Extended Connecting Energies', which refer to any name or number that is connected to you in some way, but is not used on a regular basis. Obviously, there will be a 'shadow' effect but the main influence energy-wise will come from the name you use the most. This is the most important factor in using Chaldean numerology: now is important – not then.
Nicknames: Again, if the nickname is the name most commonly used, then that will be the main energy vibrations surrounding the person.
Voluntary or unofficial name changes: It does not matter if a name is legal or not. If it is what you are called on a daily basis, then that is your current energy.
Hyphenated last names: Any hyphenated name, whether first, middle or last involves double energies. That means that a first name (or social energy) would reflect two different energy 'vibes'...the same is true for any category a double name falls into. Double energies are not necessarily positive as one can conflict with the other. A complete analysis would need to be done in order to ascertain whether or not this is true: sometimes double energies work well together; sometimes they don't.
In conclusion: it does not matter what names or indeed, how many names are connected to a person: the only thing considered important is the name most often used...currently!
Hope that helps!
