Chaldean numerology is the one-and-only forefather of the numbers game and is fundamentally different from the simplified system used today.
The NUMBERS in your name (totals, as well) reveal your energies and the 'vibes' you give off in social situations; your 'inner' hopes and goals as well as your talents and strengths and traditional domestic influences.
The LETTERS in your name reveal characteristics and potential events, habits and challenges and are extremely important in a reading. (This is one of the major differences between the two systems - Pythagorean does not consider the meanings of the symbols that created our alphabet and how their 'sound' vibrations effect you).
Below are the two systems and as you can see, the number and letter values are different: the Pythagorean system is sequential, whereas the Chaldean system retains its vibrational energy roots - it is more difficult to learn and that (I think) is the reason it was simplified -- however, by doing so, its incredible accuracy was compromised and indeed, lost.

You can see that the application of the alphabet to the numbers is not in order (A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, E=5, F=6 and so on...another unique a
spect.) This is the original, lost art that reflects the TRUE energies of the letters and numbers. It does not need pinnacles and such, since the entire content of a name energy is revealed.
The Pythagorean System is the one most often used today. Common to those who have had an analysis based on this chart is that while some of their reading was accurate, a large portion was not.

THE LETTER H: The name 'Heather' speaks of an energy whose main issue in life involves choosing to ascend or descend a ladder -- one that will take this energy up to Heaven or down to Hell. This is the choice of spirituality over depression, having faith over having another martini, striving over giving up, accepting abuse over taking a stand...and the list is endless. Up or down, over or under...movement or stagnation. Valued by the 5 of freedom, exploration, changes, communication and the senses, the H will want to explore both ends of the ladder and will do so at different times in the life.
THE LETTER E: This letter is sheer energy -- and can become excessively enthusiastic when its interest is peaked -- and can easily go to extremes without even realizing it. This letter can be impulsive and act in haste only to repent at leisure. The E (E=Mc2) is very forward thinking, curious, investigative and open to other dimensions. The grouping of these letters creates a potential pioneer of unique interests and ideas.
